The mysterious side of Paris
Introduction: Paris, a place where the plague reigned and ended up killing everyone. The plague ended up becoming almost art, but not normal art...
The Paris catacombs are underground tunnels that conceal something very sinister beneath. They became a municipal ossuary at the end of the 18th century. They were used as a municipal ossuary because the cemeteries were completely filled with the plague. Therefore, people who died of the plague were buried in the catacombs to prevent the plague from spreading further. It's a sinister place, but for some people, it's a sacred place where lost souls rest.

There have been reported cases of young people who entered the catacombs and never returned, requiring rescue operations to be found.
One case involved 16- and 17-year-olds who spent three days lost in the catacombs and were rescued with symptoms of hypothermia (2017).
Beginning in 1785, remains from Parisian cemeteries, including that of the Holy Innocents, were moved to the catacombs to address health concerns.
Conclusion:
Cities can be very beautiful, but every city hides a dark past, and Paris, the city of love, has one of the worst pasts...
