IGUANA'S RAW BLOOD

 

RAW BLOOD IGUANA SOUP Don't look inside the bowl.

Ingredients

  • 1 Iguana (Green is best) ;)

  • 1 Cup of fresh blood from the same iguana, yucca, or green plantain

  • White and long onion

  • Crushed garlic

  • Salt to taste

  • 1 Cup of hot chili and herbs...

Preparation

Hunting the iguana

  • Cut off its head and collect its blood in a clean container.

  • Clean it with hot water to remove the skin and scales.

Basic Cooking

  • In a pot, sauté garlic and onion and boil with a little fat or butter.

  • Add the chopped iguana meat.

  • Cover with water and let it boil until the meat is tender.

Add the raw blood

  • Very important: Wait for the broth

  • to be hot but not boiling.

  • .Pour the blood onto fine ice while stirring to prevent it from clotting.

  • Serve hot, with hot pepper or chicha, if desired.
